How to play
Each player starts with a forty-card deck featuring cards 1–10 in four colours (red and blue show Pennsylvania Dutch boys; yellow and green show girls). At the start of a round, lay out three post piles and place a ten-card blitz pile face-up beside them, holding the remaining cards in hand. Playing simultaneously, players race to empty their blitz pile by playing cards to the centre of the table. A 1 starts a Dutch pile; a 2 of the same colour builds on it. Dutch piles must ascend in the same colour. Cards can also be played onto post piles (descending order, alternating boys and girls) or between post piles. When stuck, reveal three cards from your hand—only the top card plays. The round ends when someone empties their blitz pile. Score 1 point per card in Dutch piles, lose 2 points per card left in your blitz pile. First player to 75 points wins.
