Pokémon Sword & Shield: Astral Radiance

Astral Radiance is the tenth main Sword & Shield Series expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and was released on May 27, 2022.

The expansion focuses on the  Origin Formes  of  Legendary Pokémon   Dialga  and  Palkia , which debuted in the  core series  title  Pokémon Legends: Arceus . The two are included as  Pokémon V  and  Pokémon VSTAR  cards. The expansion also includes previously unknown Pokémon from the  Hisui  region, including a number of  regional forms . The final evolutions of the Hisui  starter Pokémon ,  Decidueye ,  Typhlosion , and  Samurott , are all depicted on Pokémon V and Pokémon VSTAR cards in their regional forms.

Astral Radiance introduces  Radiant Pokémon , which function similarly to  Shining Pokémon  from the Neo Series and  Pokémon ☆  from the EX Series. Radiant Pokémon are all  Basic Pokémon  that portray the  Shiny  form of a species and have a Rule Box stipulating only one Radiant Pokémon can be included in a deck. The expansion also features another Trainer Gallery subset, which comprises more  Full Art  reprints that depict a Pokémon alongside a Trainer.

Pokémon GO

The Pokémon GO expansion is a special collaboration between the  iOS  and  Android  game  Pokémon GO  and the Pokémon Trading Card Game. The expansion features various Pokémon that could be encountered in Pokémon GO with a mixture of hand-drawn and photorealistic artwork referencing different aspects of the game, some of which support the  Pokémon V ,  Pokémon VMAX ,  Pokémon VSTAR , and  Radiant Pokémon  mechanics. Items, locations, and characters originating from Pokémon GO are also portrayed on  Trainer cards .
