How to play

Players move along the Tokaido road from Kyoto towards Edo, taking turns to move forward. Rather than a race, the goal is to experience the journey: visit stations to collect souvenirs, admire scenic vistas, dine at restaurants, soak in hot springs, encounter other travellers, and make shrine donations. Each action you take adds to your experience collection. At journey's end, players score points based on the variety and quality of their experiences—who has gathered the most memorable and harmonious collection? The player with the highest score completes the most fulfilling journey.
