Ticket to Ride: Europe transports you on a thrilling train adventure across the great cities of turn-of-the-century Europe—from Edinburgh to Constantinople, Lisbon to Moscow. This complete, standalone sequel to the original Ticket to Ride elevates the formula with fresh gameplay mechanics: Tunnels may demand extra cards to build, Ferries require locomotive cards, and Stations allow you to sacrifice points to use opponents' routes. Elegantly simple yet strategically rich, it's perfect for families and experienced gamers alike.

How to play

Collect train cards by drawing from a central deck, then play them to claim routes between cities on the board. Routes connect the cities listed on your Destination Tickets—complete them to score points; fail to complete them and lose points. New mechanics add tactical depth: Tunnels may require you to pay extra cards if you don't have the right colours; Ferries demand locomotive cards as payment; and Stations let you connect your routes through opponents' routes (at a small points cost). Build your rail network strategically, balancing short-term gains against long-term ticket completion. After all routes are claimed, tally points from completed tickets, route bonuses, and longest continuous route. Highest score wins.

Why you'll love it

Ticket to Ride: Europe is beloved because it's easy to learn (5 minutes) yet offers genuine strategic depth. The new mechanics—Tunnels, Ferries, and Stations—create meaningful decisions without overwhelming newcomers. Do you play it safe or risk a Tunnel? Do you invest in a Station to shortcut through an opponent's network? The European map offers more cities and longer routes than the original, creating richer strategic possibilities. The game scales beautifully from 2 to 5 players and works wonderfully for families (ages 8+) and dedicated strategy gamers. With 30–60 minutes of gameplay, it's quick enough for casual nights yet engaging enough to replay endlessly. Award-winning pedigree—multiple international recognitions—confirms its quality.
